Default Booking flights ex Brissie using UK travel agent

I fancy a trip home next year over Xmas/New Year. My mates are having their NYE party as I type and I am homesick and a bit jealous!!

Have a UK Bank A/C that I can pay in £ for tickets. Any chance I can book my Brissie to UK return flight using a UK agent and pay in £? or will I have to book in Aus and pay in $?

It's so much more expensive to go for a holiday home then it is to go to Aus from the UK!!
Any recommendations on carriers gratefully received. Only used QANTAS/BA and they were absolute sh1te.
Happy New Year!

I don't think you can. There was news a year or so ago that you would be able to but as far as I know it was never implemented unfortunately. Singapore are about the best and also cheaper than BA/QANTAS who are, as you say, shite.

Normally the agents in the Country of Origin have the best prices for those segments.
