Black dust

We had our asbestos roof removed but we still have it in our walls, but they're painted and fine. One of the joys of living in an older house in Queensland. Where were you exposed to asbestos? I did go to Wittenoom quite often as a kid to play at the gorges.

There's been heaps of complaints going on for months now about the increase in dust around Ipswich & the city, something to do with the coal trains & trucks coming through Brisbane uncovered from out West. The ABC morning prog on 612 AM regularly has folks ringing in to complain.

Spencer Howson raised the point with a few local MP's on his morning program here's a link to the courier mail story Full Story
I lived in Newcastle (Aus) many years ago, not too far from coal activity, and the dust there was so bad that white washing turned grey on the line if you left it out. The dust here isn't that bad, but its worse than I've seen anywhere else.

Thank-you for the link. We are not that close to a rail line but a lot of the things mentioned in that story do seem to affect us and we're southside. We have the same problem with clogged fly screens, dirty roof, car, dust on furniture etc.
