It happens everytime there's a bit of rain here in Perth.
We're driving back from a restaurant last night and all the dickheads are out doing wheelspins in the wet etc. I saw at least 6 on a 10 minute drive doing burnouts, with some moron losing it completely while coming out of a sideroad and spinning the wheels. His back end went and he done a full circle, thankfully the oncoming traffic wasn't going too fast and they managed to slow down in time.
I'm really growing to enjoy my time here in Perth, but I still find the driving and mentality of drivers absolutely shocking.
(please note that's not to say people don't drive bad in the UK, but it's just so much more prevalent here).

A woman trashed her car in front of me coming north on the F6 in to Sydney near Waterfall yesterday in the wet.
I still say they should learn to drive in manuals. They would appreciate car control much better than a stop/go go-cart automatic.

Drivers here are just not used to what happens when the road gets wet, I think a lot of it is down to inexperience of the change in road conditions, rather than anything else, although of course there are "some" idiots.

Dry conditions = 1 ft behind the car in front of you as slipstreaming saves you petrol
Wet conditions = 6in behind the car in front of you to save petrol and keep your car dry
Speed up towards amber lights in the wet and then beep at the idiot in front who stupidly slowed down in preparing to stop
Add in poor street lighting and road markings makes for a fun time driving.

Also add in the young lads in their V8s with no idea how to drive in these conditions (or any conditions for that matter).
Recipe for disaster.

Don't move to Singapore then - near death experiences every day.
Last time we were in Perth all the Aussies we met complained about the driving there but I only saw one piece of wanky driving equivalent to Singapore all week. Here, it's literally every 3-5 minutes.
