Just don't eat all day, then go and find a chippy on a sea front and watch the sun go down. I guarantee that they will taste great wherever you got them from.

The best chips I have ever had was in Aldeburgh, Suffolk, followed closely by a place in the Hastings old town

Agreed MP the crumbed whiting is yummy. Though make sure you ask for no salt and add it yourself as they go a wee bit mental with it!

When we first moved here the chippy in Helensvale did 'real chips' for a while then stopped, they said that people complained that the chips were not like chips should be i.e. cooked from frozen..........amazing!

I assume you mean East coast UK and not Oz

As the Russians say "there is no such thing as bad weather, just bad clothing". If its cold put another coat on and toughen up !!

Exactly... I quite often watch the sunset of an evening over here on the East... and pretty spectacular they can be at times.

Of course, if it's cloudy, watching the sun going down could be a bit tricky no matter which coast you are on.

The most important question is: what effect does the sun going down or not going down have on the relative delectableness of the fish and chips?
