He ain't funny.

A funny one would be Chris Rock etc. Search for him on youtube, I did that the other day and had a jolly good time!

Billy Connolly? Funny? I think not. Every time I see his fugly mug on TV I want to slap him - HARD - and tell him to get a friggin haircut!

Anyway, as for funny comedians, it really depends. Are you talking stand up or actors or both?

Try the Just For Laughs shows. They're taped from the Montreal Comedy Festival every year and there is always a variety of good standup.

Do a search for Charlie Williams (RIP me old flower).
Funny as they come and a genuine bloke. Met him a couple of times in Barnsley.
100% good man.

Too many to single out one, but some of my favourites are :

Seinfeld
Jim Jeffries
Jimmy Carr
Rhys Darby
Steve Martin

Most American stand up comedians are annoying, with the exception of a couple.

Best TV comedy is from the UK.
Best movie comedy is from the US. The UK just seems to produce very weak comedy films.

Re: Best Comedian in the world?

Dave Allen, Billy Connelly, Robin Williams (as standups not in sit coms). Eric Morecambe was one of the funniest guys in the world in real life. He'd bring the local high street to a standstill regularly with people crying laughing. A true genius.

Billy connelly not funny? you having a laugh?

How about- Sean Lock, Phil Kay, Lee Evans, Steve Coogan, Peter Kay, Jason Manford, Frankie Boyle, Tommy Tiernan, Jim Oinen?

I think Lee Evans is the top of the crop, am sure others would disagree
