The reviews of George Michael a couple of weeks ago in Perth commented that is was one of the first times in Perth the whole crowd had been up dancing!
It is very odd here. I remember going to Midnight Oil at the Entertainment Centre in Perth in the early 90's and couldn't believe it when after the support act a young boy came round selling ice creams just like the cinema in 70's during "intermission". It was a wild crowd that night! |

Well to be more accurate I heard him, as I never actually saw him. I believe Grace Jones sang at the same gig but I couldn't see her either :( (We went to see Taboo the musical just before we left the UK - the story of Boy George. Marilyn was sat in front of us; now he's looking damn bloaty and rough.) |

I guess it depends who's playing!We usually like to jump around quite alot,but on the other hand I have seen people like Crosby Stills & Nash in London and been quite happy to sit and watch.I've never been to a rock gig and sat down!Could'nt think of anything worse actually.While we're on the subject,we usually go to a festival (UK)every year.Last year we attended Womad,which is a festival of cultural arts.We had a programme so would find the approapriate stage,and sit near the front so we had a good view.As soon as the act came on,people behind us would just push in front,and literaally stand straight in front of us.At one stage my OH(who is usually polite)tapped someone's shoulder and said "We did'nt pay to look at your ass":rofl:
