Not sure if it can be called a 'blackboard or blackboard rubber' anymore

Wow I can't believe the reaction to your post. The amount of people on here who are "outraged" or otherwise offended.

The teacher chose to use real world terminology in a conversation with a grown adult that isn't swearing and some want them reported !??!!

Some people here take things just a bit too seriously me thinks. Cut the teacher some slack please because I can guarantee that your kids use words which are a darn sight more offensive in the playground.

Sorry but if :curse:this teacher believes that any of his pupils are 'dumbos' then a change of career beckons me thinks. It's not the words that ppl are finding offensive, it's the fact that a teacher used them to describe kids at his school, as if the not so bright ones weren't worth wasting an education on!!!!!

can I just clarify it was two separate teachers one was the English teacher who called some of the students in my daughters class Nerds. The other was my daughters Math teacher who is also her form teacher.

During both discussions my 15yr old daughter WAS present, fortunately she is not the type to go into school and start telling the other students what had been said and can see the teachers for what they where in which is very unprofessional. What worries me is how is my daughter expected to have any respect for her teachers if this is the way they openly talk about students. I am a nurse and would expect to be severely reprimanded if I talked about patients the way the teachers spoke about their students.
