Bearded men in Australia.......
#1
My sister was here on holiday a few years back and commented on the number of men with beards, quite a few of which were on younger men and were ginger!!
I have to say I hadn't really noticed after being here so many years.
HOWEVER, I have just returned to Oz after a year in the UK and I am seeing them everywhere now too.
Just why is it do you reckon? In the UK other than George Michael type goatees, the only beards I saw where on old codgers..........

I have found in Adelaide that it is usually the bogan men that sport the 'ZZ top' beard. It is usually matched with a bald or very closely shaven head or with a mullet. And when you've seen one, you have seen them all - these men all look the same!!

Funny how I never noticed it before until my sister pointed it out and then I went back to the UK and saw all these clean shaven types!!
Never saw a mullet or a rats tail haircut until I got back either!!

It's really weird eh? In my last place of work there were a few office type guys sporting these ginger horrors!! They were in their 20's and looked like old grand-dads!!

Even more alarming are the kids with rats tails. Beardy men are usually bogans or of bogan heritage or theyre bikies.

Hmm, apart from the odd Rabbi, I haven't seen many in the inner Eastern suburbs of Melbourne - now Frankston, that's a different story

When we were in the UK we went out a lot on the gay scene as we both had gay friends. in fact we met in a gay nightclub. The "look" for gay men was goatee beard and often leathers. So when we arrived in WA to see all the bikies on the news we just found it hilerious. They would have a great time on Canal street in Man

I could just imagine some of these long bearded young men in Canal Street, there would be a riot as they tried to persuade the gay guys that they were not that way inclined LOL!!

Noticed it a lot when working out in the bush. How can young men think it makes them look good or atractive?
