Can I ask what the best way to deal with these is?
Bin them? Take them through customs in your case?
What's the answer?

My wife says a "friend" just left hers in her bedside cabinet (inside a sock) and the shippers packed the cabinet with everything inside it. I guess the downside would be 8 weeks without access so you could always pick your favourite and "wear" it on the plane to make the flight more pleasurable.

) and send them to a contact/friends place in the city you will be going to (addressed to you of course). Might pay to let the contact/friend know.Other than that you could send them post restante to the GPO of the city you are going to and just take along some ID when going to pick them up.
I'd send them via cheapest air rate (so they don't take forever) insured, and post a day or two before you leave the country.
