I was mean with mine I told them each xmas to clear out the broken toys to make room for their xmas present and that they had to give half to charity for the biafran kids who didnt get toys at xmas

they were fairly good about it

mine are good at donating to charity - i just don't organise it often enough. but now when we sort out they have a charity bag and a rubbish bag
at the mo the charity vans are lining up down our street
