Bali 9 now facing death penalty
Think this normally would have got page one media coverage.
Bali 9 members appeal rejected and it looks like they now face the death sentence.
Dont suppose it will stop more idiots going out there tho.

Re: Bali 9 now facing death penalty
This would probably be really huge news here if it hadnt been shunted off telly for the 24/7 steve irwin coverage.
Think it would also have got a lot of calls from some aussies and the odd politician, for everyone to boycott indonesia and tourism and products for daring to do this to aussies.
Personally I feel they must have rocks in their heads, they knew the law, but there will be those ready to stomp and shout.

Actually there was a lot of talk about boycotting indonesia when Corby got done, but I think after all the publicity that case got, we think the Bali 9 were more than forewarned and deserve what they get.

It will be interesting to watch the posturing of the politicians.
I await the expressions of outrage at the barbarity of the death penality, the inhumane nature of capital punishment etc when spoken with regard to the Bali nine but then the silence with regard to the same "barbaric" death penality when it comes to the Bali bombers.

It was quite refreshing to hear of sentences being toughened instead of lightened at appeal. But yes, there will still be stupid people who try the same thing and wonder why they get caught. Be ibteresting what happens with Corby in the next day or so. Getting fed up with hearing about her and we've only been over here 9 months

You're all misguided, didn't you know it's all Indonesia's fault?
