Australian TV question
Is summat going on or what? Whnever i watch the news it seems like the picture and the sound aren't quite in sync, has anybody else noticed?

Nah, no particular program really but i only tend to watch a bit of news cos everything else is shite.
i don't have foxtel so i suppose its either digital or terrestrial. Just wondered if anyone else had noticed. Jazzys |

I think the sound and picture leave the station together but some of the less expensive digital equipment loses the synch. I had all those problems with my first combined DVD set top box, it was very cheap; later I bought a rather more expensive DVD with hard disk recorder and all the problems were solved.
I've read that in UK there is a problem with digital radio, in every tuner there is a processing delay, this makes the time pips (Greenwich time signal), late by half a second or so; not that it would worry me now, being retired to within half an hour or even a day is close enough.:D |
