Primitive ? Australian native peoples have been around this country long before the white man and if you believe that you could survive the harsh environment without all the "white man mod cons", you'd be the primitive person, not the natives. It really doesn't matter about integration since when a native Australian family moves onto your cul-de-sac in your white-collar neighbourhood and tries to live a decent life you'll be bitching that their presence has devalued your home. Typical of a materialistic shallow mind. |

They seem to pick and choose which bits of white mans life they like and those they dont. :beer: It sounds so familiar to since I watched the Innu in northern canada for nearly 20 years do/be accused of the same. The Innu and the Innuit are both indigenous to Canada and in much the same way as the Australian indigenous peoples they acquired traits that we "civilised" people balk at. The fact is though that both these cultures, in 2 hemispheres were doing quite well until we white folks rudely gatecrashed their lives and introduced things like greed, alcohol and other similar shit that the "natives" weren't accustomed to. The land grabbing I assume is borne from a natural survival instinct since they all value the land. Its the white folk that put the pathetic value on property for materialistic life whereas the indigenous tend to value land for sustenance allbeit to live a life you dont agree with. |
