Australia V UK
Do you think that in years to come Australia will become very similar to the UK?
As reading a lot of the posts on here there seems to be a lot of things reaching Australia that are in the UK, eg-: specsavers now are starting up there, just giving an example.
It just seems strange that some people are going to get away from the every day things in the UK and uproot to Au's when in years to come it will possibly be like the UK but bigger. What do you think?

Personally I think some companies like Tescos or Asda would be a good thing for Oz. The supermarkets are poor over there.

Asda = Walmart.
If those bastards ever set foot in my country, I'm going to start throwing things. :curse:

Yes! But my thought was that it would start to be as built up and look like it does here.

Obviously, we don't want it to be just like the UK, but you have to admit that Oz is quite a way behind on many things, such as supermarkets, broadband etc and some aspects would be a good thing.

That is what i am trying to get at. As you say if Au's is quite away behind on many things, and some people move over to get away from UK then by the time Au's catches up it will have built up like the UK compact, congested and looking just like the UK shops.
