Whilst watching the league game the other night, myself and the kids sat singing australia fair....Hubby turns round to me and ask..how the hell do you know all the words ?? my eldest turns round and answers, dad we sing it at school in every assembly, why dont you know it we only been here for almost 3 years....i was p*** ing myself laughing, never occured to me he didnt already know it, how many other expats dont i wonder ???

Being British I shall stick to the National Anthem, with "Land of My Fathers" for really patriotic occasions

Eldestchild uses the above line as justification for his plans to ship us off to a nursing home in Grimsby once we hit 45.

He reckons it's positively un-Australian to be old.
