And suddenly bunting has sprouted up everywhere- private houses, on vans, flags on cars. Interestingly the only shops with bunting are the (Turkish Cyriot) hairdressers and the (Greek) kebab shop!

Photos please.

As a west country girl it should be celebrated with scrumpy and a ploughmans. As a Bucks resident for over 20 years it should be Pimms, scones and jam, with double cream.

As someone with lactose and gluten intolerance, I'll raise a glass of wine and nibble some grapes.

For the first time since we moved, I really wish I was in the UK for reasons other than family and friends.

It was the school jubilee party yesterday and it was lovely to see the kids dressed up and everywhere decorated.
The bunting is going up on our house today and there is a street party on Monday.
The weather has been kind so far but rain is due Monday. Fingers crossed that it stays dry

Its going to piss down from Saturday afternoon until next Wednesday over much of the southern parts of the UK with temps between 11c - 15c And what is even funnier is what would have been the normal bank holiday at the end of May that was moved for this was red hot I hear

When the boat trip thing is supposed to head down the river heavy rain has been forecast for London.

For all those in the UK, the emails and other work will be waiting for you come Wednesday morning And the weather is due to improve for the back to work day also

Yes I wish I was in the UK this weekend

But on the plus side - it's an extra long bank holiday, no work and the Pimms is flowing nicely
