...not watching. We rarely watch commercial, free to air TV. I would strongly urge everyone to do the same.

Infomercials in the middle of daytime TV programmes, which tell me helpful stuff. This morning's gem - this photo package makes a great gift and Christmas is just around the corner! Erm, no it's not, it's February.

I put the TV on to have a rare, uninterrupted cuppa and a chocolate biccie while both First Born and the Gorilla are at preschool/daycare. Daytime TV the world over is crap, but Australia really excels itself in just how crap it is. I turned it off, ditched the tea and went to do the grocery shopping at Woolworths instead.

Anything that is shown on TV in the UK is now available to anyone, anywhere, always.

Where's the problem? No ads, no licence fee - the best of both worlds.

Think.

Deal or no deal!
It is SO much better over here than the dreary Noel Edmunds version. Mind you I do record it and watch it at X6 speed as box opening is only so much fun

That would be a problem. I guess we are lucky to have a really good ADSL link.

We have an unlimited plan, but speed is erm , not the quickest, so streaming can be a real pain:thumbdown:

Things like Netflix are good, but if what you are watching is constantly buffering and/or pixellated, it detracts somewhat

Yipeeeeee,
Going back to Spain on Wednesday, where all of the UK programs are available for watching, or download (if you are sad enough to want to watch them all!).
Back to Spain!!! it means that I can start to enjoy life again (but not watching too much TV).
I timed one program here a couple of nights ago, just for the hell of it. It averaged 7 mins. of program & 4 mins of adds.
While I've been here, I have been trying to find a word that for me best describes Oz..... today I came up with my answer, it's "VULGAR".
You'r all great guys really.... thanks, and see you next year!!

P.S.
Don't forget 'FilmOn HD' for TV programs worldwide!

Mate. I daren't interrupt the Missus when she is enthralled in some part of Downton. I rely on the ad breaks so that she can tell me who is related to whom!
