Aussie TV is great for...

cheesy films.

Stargate is on at the mo, and as a HUGE fan of the series (yes, we own the DVD boxsets:lol:) although the film is a tad cheesy - especially Kurt Russell with his dodgy beret - it really was quite ahead of its' time. The FX were fab for its' time and I love the way the series stayed true to the film using the same music, FX and in some cases, actors.

Don't own a TV any more. Best decision I ever made. - I do watch the BBC online though, but only a handful of shows and the nightly news and spotlight from BBC Devon.

My wife is addicted to "ask the midwife" and "silent witness" which she watches on the BBC Iplayer.

Thank god for the internet is what I say.

God help me, making you appreciate ITV. It may have nothing but brainless junk for dullards, but at least the ad breaks aren't as destructive to programme continuity. And at least some of the ads have had some thought put into them.

Down down, deeper and down indeed - mining the bottom out of that barrel.

the best thing about the ad breaks is adding time on to talk to a member of your family, take a wakeful kid to the loo etc, get a drink.....lol

Cutting in an ad break then showing the last few seconds of a film!

...letting you know all of the dangers out there which are killing you and your family but luckily, also being able to tell you what you can do to protect yourself. Every night.

Also good for making any movie ever made at least an hour longer thanks to the worst ads I've ever seen.
