Default Are Aussie thiefs stupid?

Listening to the news today...

Sydney..

A fella breaks into a GPS suppliers warehouse..

Steals 3 gps systems, a pc system, and loads of other bits n bobs...

He makes a clean get away..

However the company, he stole from, actually, sell the GPS systems for transport companies, so head office can locate their drivers...

A hour or so later, the thief, hooks the gps system upto his car...

Within MINUTES cops race to the house and arrest him...

PMSL !!! I giggled like a wet fart in a breeze when i heard this, and heard he had a blank look on his face as if to say... HOW DIDYA CATCH ME YA MONGRELS

There was a robbery over here a while ago, and the guy smashed through the shop window in his car - he managed to get away but forgot his number plate which had fallen off as he drove through the window

I heard about two more in almost the same category.

1. one broke into a camera store and checked a display camera by taking picture of himself, liked it so took a few boxed ones, left the display camera with his pic in the shop.

2. A bit grimmer one. A week or so ago one broke into a house through the window, slipped and cut his throat on the glass.

there was an attempted car jacking in Sydney (sometime in the last year) and she did not get very far as she did not know how to operate a manual car
