Well…I've never heard of the extra shoots part ! Did you make that up ? 'Tis usually the three-parter I have heard.

I thought the 'roots' part replaces the 'shoots' part in the non-fiction book Eats, Shoots & Leaves: The Zero Tolerance Approach by Lynne Truss.
