Bugger!
Still, anything can happen in test cricket and the balls swinging at the moment, which may help our bowlers (and they may get their chance soon at this rate).

It's a crazy day - England have just scored 29 runs off 3 overs - a hat-trick and then easy runs.

Why do England always blow their own trumpet! We always jinx ourselves!

Q. "So are you going to retain the Ashes"
A. "You know, we will try our best, but Australia have won it more times than us so it is not a foregone conclusion - lets just hope we play well and beat them"
Don't think that would wash either!

That was still a fantastic days test cricket, it had a nice ebb and flow before Australia won the day. Seeing a guy get a hat trick is pretty special. Its still game on. In the end it was Australia's day but still along way to go. A draw will be a good result at the Gabba for England.

Who is this man, and what has he done with Peter Siddle?

Poor session from England. Bowlers are economical but batsmen are playing safe. Swann needs to be given more in the next session and should have been used more.
