Ashes - Live
Damn,
That wasn't part of the plan - 1 down for no runs! |
Re: Ashes - Live
lulling them into a false sense of security.... all carefully planned
|
Re: Ashes - Live
It's great stuff, but Bell and Collingwood are the guys I'm really worried about.
|
Re: Ashes - Live
Nervy start and a close call on the LBW...

Not the best of starts. |
Re: Ashes - Live
Cook's deadbatting the Aussies, not playing any false shots - see how Doherty handles KP now.....

Re: Ashes - Live
Even stevens at lunch, very tense and exciting, think it will be like this all the way:)
|
Re: Ashes - Live
Not even anymore, aussies clearly in front now.
|
Re: Ashes - Live
Gah - 2 quick wickets, important phase of the match coming up!
|
Re: Ashes - Live
All going a bit pear shaped for us.
Even worse is that the bbc has gone on the blink at work for some reason (can't get any .co.uk sites ) so have to listen to the abc coverage instead. |

Re: Ashes - Live
Yeah 350+ would do. Bell and Cook seem settled, need a ton from at least one of them I think.
Also Watson seems to be getting it to swing a bit which bodes well for our bowlers. |

Re: Ashes - Live
Oh dear :(
|
Re: Ashes - Live
Siddle hat-trick!
That was NOT in the plans! |
Re: Ashes - Live
Bugger!
Still, anything can happen in test cricket and the balls swinging at the moment, which may help our bowlers (and they may get their chance soon at this rate). |

Re: Ashes - Live
It's a crazy day - England have just scored 29 runs off 3 overs - a hat-trick and then easy runs.
|
Re: Ashes - Live
Another one bites the dust:thumbsup:

Re: Ashes - Live
Why do England always blow their own trumpet! We always jinx ourselves!

Q. "So are you going to retain the Ashes" A. "You know, we will try our best, but Australia have won it more times than us so it is not a foregone conclusion - lets just hope we play well and beat them" Don't think that would wash either! |
Re: Ashes - Live
That was still a fantastic days test cricket, it had a nice ebb and flow before Australia won the day. Seeing a guy get a hat trick is pretty special. Its still game on. In the end it was Australia's day but still along way to go. A draw will be a good result at the Gabba for England.

Re: Ashes - Live
Who is this man, and what has he done with Peter Siddle?

Re: Ashes - Live
Yes, got 'im!
Watsons out, caught. |
Re: Ashes - Live
Poor session from England. Bowlers are economical but batsmen are playing safe. Swann needs to be given more in the next session and should have been used more.

Re: Ashes - Live
Michael Clarke - 81mins 50 balls 9 runs
Pathetic for a No.4 batsman |
