I was swanning around the shops today with my 2009 celebratory t-shirt on, the looks of pain/anger/resignation were stuff to savour. |

Not that stupid, I told the OH we need time to recover from flights so we'll be in presumably tv enabled 4/5 Star hotel in Alice til mid way thru Perth fifth day (will be all over by then) :sneaky: Back in civilized bits of SA by the time the Melbers Test starts. Having been on four previous trips to Oz when we got routinely humiliated (yes I've still got the NZ t-shirts I wore) I won't be shy this time to talk Ashes with the locals, pity that with this head cold I've temporarily lost my voice innit. :o |

Serious question!!
When James Anderson bowls and the crowd sing "Jimmy, Jimmy, Jimmy, Jimmy Anderson", what song is that from? I'm sure its a 70's song but I can't place it. Anyone know? Dont make me start a thread about it please. |

What's the general consensus about James Anderson here. I personally think he couldn't hit a cow's 4rse with a banjo! Terrible action. I worry when the pundits start relying on players like him. |

Still, the only good think about the Perth test starting at 1pm (Sydney) is that it coincides with the child's nap time. At least I get a couple of hours of uninterrupted viewing. |
