Re: Ashes 2010 thread. Who's gonna win?
Interestingly, this is exactly the scene Aussie batsmen used to present to McGrath and Warne. Post a big first innings total and give the strikers the game on a plate to do their magic.
It's yours for the taking Swanny! |

Wish he'd shut up reading storm warnings though, I've made the scary realisation that I can actually now recite the standard wording without even looking at the effing things  God, I could slap him, of course the Bureau don't mess around you idiot :scaredhair: and yes some twits do go walking in flood waters, thats why we have to tell them not too  http://www.bom.gov.au/products/IDR644.loop.shtml#skip |

Beats me sometimes...watching the news this week, one minute they are talking about some old guy, lived in the town all his life, gambled he could drive through the flood, car slid off the road, gone. So they warn everyone not to go into floodwaters. Next clip is two kids jumping into a flooded creek splashing around and playing with pet dog and making floods look like fun  :curse: Sorry, this is the end of the weather related safety message, back to the radio and the action....fruit cake anyone? |

Dissapated a bit round Brisbane now, there's plenty forecast though for the rest of the day/week   You did pick the right time to be off work, didn't you  Yes the timing is good ... February will be a rude shock as the school hols end and I am looking for gainful employment ... Don't feel too much sympathy eh? |

Re: Ashes 2010 thread. Who's gonna win?
Concerns around Broad. Talk that it is a torn abdominal muscle which will mean weeks of lay off, ie: no more Ashes for Stewie.
That's a real blow for us if that is correct! He not only keeps a tight end for Jimmy and Swann to strike but offers us a lot of batting depth. I'd be loathed to bring in Bresnan for him, as Stewie is our frontline bowler, something Bresnan is not. I reckon, it would be Tremlett or Shazhad who would come in, but likely Tremlett |
