Interestingly, this is exactly the scene Aussie batsmen used to present to McGrath and Warne. Post a big first innings total and give the strikers the game on a plate to do their magic.

It's yours for the taking Swanny!

Haven't had a drop of rain here for a while now :frown:

Not that it makes much difference to my lifestyle which is alternating between fridge, kettle and sofa :D

That's different - she was attempting a daring rescue, so it's OK.

Dissapated a bit round Brisbane now, there's plenty forecast though for the rest of the day/week

She's lucky she wasn't the subject of a daring rescue herself

Beats me sometimes...watching the news this week, one minute they are talking about some old guy, lived in the town all his life, gambled he could drive through the flood, car slid off the road, gone. So they warn everyone not to go into floodwaters. Next clip is two kids jumping into a flooded creek splashing around and playing with pet dog and making floods look like fun  :curse:

Sorry, this is the end of the weather related safety message, back to the radio and the action....fruit cake anyone?

Chances of playing cricket on Sunday slim I'd wager.

Yes the timing is good ... February will be a rude shock as the school hols end and I am looking for gainful employment ... Don't feel too much sympathy eh?

Looks like Australia will only have to survive two more sessions.

Concerns around Broad. Talk that it is a torn abdominal muscle which will mean weeks of lay off, ie: no more Ashes for Stewie.

That's a real blow for us if that is correct! He not only keeps a tight end for Jimmy and Swann to strike but offers us a lot of batting depth.

I'd be loathed to bring in Bresnan for him, as Stewie is our frontline bowler, something Bresnan is not. I reckon, it would be Tremlett or Shazhad who would come in, but likely Tremlett

Let's hope he's OK, good job England have plenty of options in the wings and they all have some overs under their belts thanks to bringing the front line attack to Brisbane early.
