FOR ANYONE WHO REMEMBERS FLYNN...
HE HAS THE ALL CLEAR
He is now 18 months (15 months corrected)
After a breif examination the pediatrician said....
"Well. As gorgeous, cute and perfect as he is, its not enough of a reason for me to have to see him. He is just far too healthy. You and your family have done a fantastic job, well done. He is a miracle, treasure him, he is just so beautiful"
Heart -perfect. No follow up
Eye test- perfect. Pre school routine follow up
Last hearing test-perfect. Precautionary pre kinder follow up
Chest- coming along nicely- always practice caution with colds and infections...
Grade 4 IVH (bleed to brain)- no need for follow up M.R.I as nothing is showing physically...
NO sign of cerebal palsy. If there is any its not bad enough to treat!
I don't know if anyone can imagine how totally relieved we are. I feel like I've just given birth to a perfectly healthy bouncing baby boy. It may be a little delayed, but only now I can feel this. Finally.
The wee man is virtually running around.
He is getting to be a real chatterbox. His favorite words are
Football
Brother (Brudda) thats what he thinks Niall is called!
Bella (his horse, and any horse he sees!)
Mama
Dada
Leela (Leah)
Gen (again)
mmmmmhh (yes)
Butt (don't know why or what but he says it and cracks up!)
Dog
Bahhh (any animal thats not a dog or a Bella)
He is developing a very STRONG personality. He often drags me by the hand to his shoes, then goes and bangs on the front door to go out.
If you are trying to make him eat doing the whole train tunnel thing -FORGET IT! No way. If he won't he won't.
He has began throwing tantys in shops when he wants something and shakes his head when you ask him to do something he doesn't want to do.
He loves "reading" and is still always dragging books out and climbing onto anyones lap for a story. Its the only time he sits down!
He pokes out his tounge and blows rasberrys and dances and sings. He know where his eyes, ears, nose, toes etc etc are. He loves playing peep po and rushes off to hide behind things so he can peek out at you.
He is still a bit small (in zero clothes) but on saying that he has nearly doubled his birth length of 36 cm's and is exactly 11 times his birth weight (11 kilos)
Our little man is indeed a miracle. He is a star. He is deliciously cute. And most of all is he healthy and well. We couldn't be any more happy

Who remembers Flynn? What???? He IS the Expat baby
Flynn is proof that miracles happen, he is proof that we should never give up on something because it is against the odds.
He is an incredible little boy that has proved everyone wrong, and now he is growing into a fine young man.
You should be proud of him and yourselves for keeping your faith in him.
He really is gorgeous.

Re: FOR ANYONE WHO REMEMBERS FLYNN...
Really pleased for you and your family
11 kilo's sounds ok for his age, my daughter is 5 1/2 and weighs around 15 kilo's. She's always been small but the health visitor was never worried about her because she was on a steady curve on her chart
Enjoy life and all it has to offer

Always knew he was perfect (she lied very very worried for a while) He's gorgeous and you, Matt, Leah and Naill have done the most amazing job through nightmare after nightmare.
Size 0 is very trendy apparently. Congrats hon. Massive weight off your minds, doesn't matter how many times people say it and how often you feel it, to actually be told by the experts he's 100% perfect is mind blowing. I'm made up for you.
