Default Is anyone interested in a house swap?

Hi, we live in a nice suburb of Perth on the coastal strip, within easy reach of the city. We wondered whether anyone would be interested in doing a house swap when doing a reccie? Just putting the feelers out at the mo, but wanted to see if there was any interest shown.

Well Tracey, I've been toying with the idea for ages. I also thought about literally swapping houses when and if we ever go home, as house prices are on a par here with alot in the UK. I'll see what comes of it, but I'd definitely be interested. I'm a fussy moo, so I would expect my house to be looked after in the same way I would look after the swap though.

I would but I have no need to go to Perth. Now if you lived in Cairns or overlooking harbour in Sydney I might be interested

It's a really good idea and something I've thought about when / if we go back to the Uk for a visit. My family don't have the room to put us up, so a house swap would be ideal and cheaper than a hotel.
There are always people coming to Oz for reccie's / holidays and having difficulties finding somewhere to stay. At least then these people could experience what 'real' life is like, to some degree.
Maybe admin could do a forum or a sticky that people could post their requirments.

That is brilliant !

We were talking about this at our leaving do at the weekend with people we know who are emigrating to canada and sydney.

48 bucks a year sound good too.

Cairns anyone ? (admittedly we're not there yet never mind bought a house !)

If you don't mind fitting the new kitchen in for me while we're swapping I'm up for it

Or in fact, putting on the market, dealing with pain in the arse viewers, etc, etc

Or perhaps you don't fancy that (me too)
