Anyone else looking forward to their cities Royal Show?
Adelaide royal show starts this Friday and Im actually looking forward to a decent day out. Love the wood chopping, the Gravitron and know how to appreciate a good looking Dalesbred.
Anyone else taken out a small loan for the show yet?

I couldnt seem to find a decent link for the show. Its an agricultural show for the farmers to show off their produce and livestock but the real fun is the rides and showbags, like the fair.
LOL! Its something worth getting out of bed for in Adelaide.

Just had a big agricultural show here in Brisbane recently. My hubby's work building overlooked the whole show.

That might have been it - it travels around Australia. Would have thought you were a rollercoaster kind of girl..........

Hi
We went to the Royal Hobart Show (Tassie) last year, definitely won't do it again!
Have found memories of the English country shows, eg Royal Show, Bath & West, Devon County Show and have always enjoyed them, spread out over green fields (sometimes a mud bath) sitting with a picnic watching show jumping, trying local foods, scoffing free samples of yoghurt and chocolate.
However the local version was simply a fairground with huge stands flogging naff showbags, very little local foods/beers/wine etc, no celeb cooking stands, nowhere to sit and have a picnic - pretty bloody awful actually.
However, we do have some good events over the summer to look forward to so will just dream of visiting a "proper" country show back in England sometime in the future.
