all well and good for those who can - I can swim - and maybe walk but as for any real cardio - I am not up to it healthwise.

I'm hopeless with diets, cannot do the deprivation thing. I find the only way to keep myself trim is regular exercise, mainly walking (inc. hills and stuff) or treadmill (slow jog/incline walking) about five times a week for 30 or so mins.

Coupled with watching what I eat (by that we eat healthily most of the time, no meal skipping, but eat out/takeaway a couple of times a week, 1 or 2 drinks + a bit of choccie most nights etc).

I hate exercising but I've been from a size 6 to a size 12/14 (now 10) and this is the only thing that has kept my weight regular for years. I must admit it does get harder as you get older tho!

My weight flucuates too as I have an underactive thyroid and sometimes I'm on the floor- sleeping at every opportunity- or full of beans. At the moment I'm inbetween waiting for the crash

I'm joining ww (again) on Monday!!! I want to at least lose a stone before I leave (March 22nd) although I've got a hell of a lot more to lose than that, a stone will do nicely to start me off in Aus

I have started my diet today it is the Rosemary Conley GI at home diet, just basic calorie counting, have just ordered her low fat recipe book online, should be here in a day or two. Completed 40 minutes on my corss trainer

Hubby and I did this last January - we bought a cross trainer and some of that Maximuscle stuff and I lost a stone and hubby lost over a stone, but then we went to Oz for a holiday and got really out of the way of it and got depressed with all the bloody waiting and just couldnt get the motivation!

So heres to the new slimmer us!

After countless failed diets i joined Slimming World 6 months ago and have lost 2 and 1/2 stone Got a little more to lose before I reach my target weight but im loving this food plan. Im never ever hungry unlike other diets ive been on before. I wasn't sure about going to class but felt i needed to as id tried and failed at the online ones. Im pleased to say i actually enjoy it and have made alot of really good friends through going to the class

Goold luck!!

hey - bet we are not far off the same size

I have only been doing this since last Wednesday and got up to put my skirt on - size 16 not elasticate waist and it fits much more comfortable than it did when I bought it a few weeks ago.

This is a link to a free workout plan. I have been doing this for a week and can feel a positive difference already.
I don't do diets, they make me feel deprived.
good luck

I hope it's not psychological, I've had to turn the tops of my pants over to stop them wiggling down I started Last Thursday and it makes me wonder exactly what I was eating before
Keep it coming!!

Well, I lost 3Ib on Thursday and would have lost more only I didn't realise that you had to point fruit these days So there I was stuffing myself with apples and grapes instead of crisp and chocolate....
Never mind, on track for this Thursday.
How is everyone else holding up??
