married to a pommie biker, you will have to pay import tax to bring one over, then it has to go over the pits and be inspected, have a look at www.redbook.com.au for bike prices
cheers

Have a look at www.bikepoint.com.au You should be able to see what bike prices are like.

I live in Canberra and have many good roads to ride on, you just have to be aware of dead wild life on the road and stupid P platers.

Have fun mate.

You may want to look at doing some track days at some of the race tracks in Australia. Phillip Island have them, It;s a nice change when everyone is going on the same direction and you don't have to worry about the cops....

Well being a biker since I was 16 (and before that if the truth was known) I'd LOVE to be running around on 2 wheels out here. I rode 2 wheels till I was 33 and this happened:

So needless to say the family won't let me near 2 wheels anymore! ...

Still, I'd LOVE to be back on 2 wheels, and yes, the roads are VERY warm in my part of town, and I CRAVE 2 wheels, but .... ah .....

Such is life! ...

End of the day, if YOU can control / be sensible (I obv couldn't) with 2 then I reckon you'll love it here!

The roads ARE as sticky as fudge! ...

Good luck to ya!

VERY lucky to be here! ... lost 12 pints of blood in the 15 min journey to the hospital (told my body would only hold 11 ... )

I spent 11 days in Intensive Care and arrived at the local hospital with a 25% chance of surviving!

I dunno what I'm tryin to say here ... ... but just TRYIN to say that 2 wheels ARE fun (prob the MOST fun I've EVER had) but .....

Ahhh, Oh I wish I had my old bike back! ...

Sorry, ignore me .... as I say the roads over here ARE as sticky as fudge, and I just want 2 wheels again!!!!

(I hate these 'bike' threads!! ... )
