I'm not anti Royal but I just really couldn't care less about them. The way the media are comparing everything Middleton does to Diana is terrible.

I'll probably listen to it on news with mild interest but think the whole over top Diana thing sort of removed some of the mystic royal image and made the Royals more like a Coronation Street type series. Think they're still a usefull tourist attraction but no longer have the power or the image they used to have.

I like a bit of tradition and pageantry so will quite enjoy the spectacle of it. I won't rush out to buy a plate with a face on it or wave a flag, but none less this what makes Britain unique in much of the world's eyes.

Just because the media have f.a. to write about and dreg up any old twit who has a random comment and *deep insight* does not detract from the fact that this is British history in the making.

But for UK it's good money for the coffers. Americans will be flying in and spending their dollars. It's good for the country and, let's face it, UK going down the tube at the moment.
