How much of an anti pom sentiment is there in OZ?
Its one thing that concerns me.

Not found any (6 weeks in sunshine coast) everyone really friendly thus far
just a bit of nobble about the cricket

Only found really friendly Aussies so far.

Not that much. Many Aussies are racist towards aboriginals and Asians. How do I know this? I'm Australian, and recognised this happening in others from an early age......particularly in people of my parents' age!!!

Thankfully things are slowly changing.

We've been here 15 months and haven't had any experience of that, quite the opposite.

True....though I couldn't comment on the relationship between Maoris (sorry - spelling?) and anglo descendents...... I suspect that the relationship might be a little better than the aussie's with the aboriginals, given that the Maories invited the Brits in, and that the aboriginal population in Oz is less than 5% of the population, but the Maori population is higher (or so I read but not sure where).
