Amazon.co.uk now delivering more items to Australia

Something I picked up on ozbargain.
Did a test order on some small electrical appliances, and they were accepting an Australian delivery address. Amazon.de, it and .es are ususally cheaper than .co.uk but sometimes it's the other way round. Seems that only priority international delivery is available (1 week turnaround), but it wasn't too expensive - and the 20% VAT is deducted too.
Should be good.

Cool, I'm after a Roku 2 from the UK in order to use the BBC iplayer.

Ooo, need to access iplayer and the itv service, any advice how to do so before the next series of Downton Abbey airs would be appreciated!

Unfortunately that's not "wife friendly" which is why I'm exploring the Roku option (I don't think that will get you ITV).

The easiest way to do it is with an http://unblock-us.com account ($5 a month) and a laptop, ideally plugged into the telly.

I've just installed the WD remote app on my phone - it works really well, especially for searching, which is a pain on the stock remote.

Yes it does but I already have the US WD so figured if I had another (UK) one the remote control would be trying to operate them both at the same time!

The only downside I can see in ordering electrical appliances from overseas is that the plug won't fit Australian sockets. So wouldn't you then either have to have the relevant converter which may not always be suitable if you are fitting something in a tight spot, or you will have to get it rewired by an electrician which adds an extra cost element and offsets the cheaper prices.
