Kporte, I think you sound like a nice man. It is good to read of someone who can love their country of birth and the country they migrated to for whatever reason. We are all different and all find happiness in different things. I don't think you are unique in the fact that you love both Australia and the UK or that you are happier here. I hope it lasts for you and good luck for your future.

No you're not unique. As they say - bad news sells papers. People are more likely to moan about what they don't like rather than bother mentioning what they do. That's why you read so many possibly negative posts and relatively few 'life is good and always was' posts.

You're not special, just deal with it
