Remember everyone, if it does rain, the roads will be VERY slippery.
Lets be careful out there.

I was wondering how long after the rain the roads are bad for? Not that I was planning on driving tomorrow but it scares the shot out of me driving in the rain, especially with the tailgaters we have here.

Yes they do, at least 20kms under on the freeeway, and 10 on all the other roads. Thats cos it rains so infrequently they forget how to drive in it!
BTW, from an SES perspective we are coming into storm season, time to clean those gutters for when the rain does come, to try and lessen the chance of them overflowing and causing damage. Also any loose stuff that can blow round your backyards should be made tidy to stop chances of damage.
There are supposed to be 80km winds tonight in Perth (don't think thats gonna happen though!)

Actually, I found the same in SE England - people driving like old ladies when it rains. I worked in London for a company that was based in the North of England. The guys from up there also said the same, and that London drivers were a bunch of 'Southern Jessies'.

Have to admit that I did struggle driving doing the school run this morning.I was the one driving like an old lady ,couldnt see where I was going.Thankfully my 13 year old noticed and flicked my wipers on.
