Default Air Con in Perth - how often and for how long?

Phew, it's been HOT in Perth these past few days!

Just curious... for those of you with air conditioning, how often have you been using it this summer? What type of system and for how long each day, what temperature do you set it at?

Ours seems to have been on every single day since around Christmas (have several splits) in at least one room, absolutely dreading the electricity bill!

We have solar power only 1.6Kw system,3 split systems, only operate 1 at a time, leave on all daytime(sunny days)and all night in the bedroom only(Smart power).Expect a bill approx $100 for 2 months.

Edit Just read the meter $91.54(inc gst)for 60 days.Solar power best money I have spent!

We only have the A/C (reverse cycle splits) on in the bedrooms, in the evening or at night. Had it on a lot this summer as you can imagine. It has added about $100 to our last 2 month bill, which I consider not too bad.
