Anybody out there have direct experience of taking ADHD meds on holiday to Bali? How did you get on?
I know I have to declare them, but am a bit nervous about having them confiscated at customs because they may consider one of my son's cocktail ingredients as an illegal stimulant there. I'm ready to take all the evidence I need - copies of prescriptions, doctors letter, and original boxes.
Cheers

On the one hand certain meds seem to be illegal there, but anecdotally it could also be the case that as long as you fully declare and take strictly only what is needed, they could turn a blind eye.

Bali came and went, it was a great fun trip, even with the monsoon rains that drenched us occasionally!
Regarding the ADHD meds - I fully declared everything, took only what I needed, but forgot to take the Dr's notes, prescription copies, etc (had copies in Google Drive, just in case, thankfully). I presented to customs, they checked our passports, and waved us straight on through in about 5 seconds. Easy peasy no problems at all!

Glad you enjoyed it, Lucas. My visit there happened way back in the days before Kuta Beach was a must-go-to! Much has changed, I guess!

[QUOTE=Gordon Barlow;13339600]
When we were looking for our first overseas holiday since we migrated to Australia we did look at Bali but the amount of Aussies we knew who holidayed there just from Perth alone was substantial (it was the cheapest options for West Aussies) we just wanted to escape everything Aussie (wanted something different as you do if you go on holiday) so we never went there but discovered other parts of that “side†of the world instead. Coincidence though I have just watched a programme a few weeks ago about the “Bali†bombing, glad those times have passed
