Can't help with teaching jobs I'm afraid, not my thing (there are quite a few advertised every week though). That med price sounds good, it cost me that much for 3 adults (one 18) and 2 kids a year last November!

Hi all
As some of you are aware we (me, hubby, 3 ish kids, 16, 14 and 12) will be going to Adelaide. We haven't decided where yet. Our friends are going on the 3rd June and we will be meeting them there.
Wendy. I took my son the an NHS psychiatrist and she has given him the all clear. The panel doctor has confirmed receipt of this. We have an appointment for my other son's echo cardio gram for the 23rd May. We have decided to take this appointment and save the £150.it would have cost to go private. Once this has been done all our medical information will be sent to the processing centre. Our agents have said they are keeping them informed of our appointments.
Hopefully will still be on track for September this year.Have arranged to have the house valued on 28th April, just need a plasterer now to finish the kitchen and rendering.
Regards Jackie

I'm not sure. I'll look into it for you. There are lots of new suburbs being built so I should imagine there is, but will look in the job paper on Saturday and see how many are advertised. :)

Yep but we are not planning on returning so 4 years is not a problem, still unsure about how it all works though, do you have to be there 4 years out of 5

I will speak to hubby tonight to see if we can make the meet tomorrow, If we can I will PM you in the morning to get the details

You have to have clocked up 4 years residency to be able to apply for citizenship, but it doesn't have to be within the 5 years validity of the visa.

The visa has a (RRV) Residents Return Visa, which lets you in and out of the country for the first five years. Once that part of your visa has expired you will then either need to be a citizen or apply for another RRV to be able to travel outside Australia and be let back in. To apply for a RRV you generally have to have been in Australia for 2 out of 5 years (I don't think that part is changing).

Immigration, Citizenship and RRV conditions vary greatly and most people get them confused, but I hope that clears it up for you a bit. :)

Nothing wrong with Blakeview IMO. Both my children went to Blakeview Primary and loved it. Infact I am looking to move again and have asked the children where they would like to move to if we do and there answer is Blakeview without a douwt. There is Trinity private school there and Craigmore high for the older ones and a few more primary and Catholic schools if prefered.Bigger blocks of land etc. Need any more info ask away. I won't be afraid to answer questions on Elizabeth or Smithfield either as I rented a brand new house in Smithfield plains when we first came and can honestly say we had no problems. In five years time this is going to be one of the best areas to live in supposedly with all the new defenc houses going up etc. Don't judge any suburb until you have either lived in it or know someone who lives in it.:)

I think Dorothy and wendy having been listening to the fairies, have lived in the northern suburbs for most of the 43 years in Adelaide, elizabeth, smithfield do have some bad areas [Davoren Park] but so doe,s the rest of Adelaide, Glenelg a large drug problem, muggings etc.
Check out an area by its demographic,s if you are not sure............. mm
