Things will continue to hot up between China and the rest of the world and a large volume of international passengers this last decade or so have been Mainland Chinese which will likely be massively reduced as nations decouple their economies from China. Expats around the world will likely gradually resume their travel habits over the next year or two but those who don't have overseas connections will take a while longer.

Yes. It will be a while but air travel will get back to where it was last year

People want to travel - cheaply - and there will be an industry to provide this

Surely one of the big boys, if not all, are hanging on for dear life.

After the MAX disaster, not sure how much Boeing have left.

Nice one Paulry. I see that 747 is being trundled out of the hanger at Sydney Airport for its final flight to the graveyard in the Mojave desert today.

They are saying it will start rolling down the runway at about 2:20pm. Looking at the wind forecast, it will probably take off over the city rather than the sea. I understand its going to do a fly by Wollongong before a left turn over the pacific. Sadly I have meetings all afternoon but I should be able to get a glimpse out of the bedroom window.

That other video was awesome. Great photography, towards the end catching the plane's shadow on the ground as it flew over Canberra - from the plane

A live stream that will be starting shortly:

I will give it a watch. Have you checked out the flightrader24 of the last flight? It's doing a number of final laps. QF7474 for reference.

I did not pick that. Just thought it was laps. Great spot. Well done pilots.
