I'm guessing it isn't just a clever title so what are the four ingredients or do they change for each recipe? And does it have lots of photographs, four ingredients is about all the ingredients we will be able to afford once we eventually get over there!!

Very simple recipies if the show is anything to go by:ohmy:.

Take bag of salad leaves and add cheese.

Add a can of soup to pasta mix and add cheese.

Buy packet of beef strogonoff mix and add to beef and carrots.

Spread ham and cheese onto bread and toast.

However show is very amusing IMO , one lady sounds very 'strine' the other seems to have watched too much nigella, very posh sounding with occasional slip back into strine  close up shots of boobs dropping into the soup and pasta creation.

4 ingredients books were V popular back in the 90's but this is an aussie first:lol:

Maybe we should start a new 1 ingredient book ..

I'll go first;

Get one pot noodle, add water!

I don't know though, does water constitute as a second ingredient?

I got the 8 free cards on the front of a magazine! Other half got his knickers in a twist when 1 recipe had 4 ingredients for the cake and then another 4 for the icing!!

Well you see, technically it hasn't.

4 ingredients in the dressing.

3 ingredients in the salad thing, plus the dressing - 4 ingredients.

Total, total stretching of the truth :)

I think the advertising gives the impression you can create a meal with 4 ingredients which sadly isn't the case. 'Make this and serve with blah blah blah' isn't 4 ingredients!!

i know there are a few recipes that if making dressings means more than 4 ingredients but how long does it take to make a dressing i suppose it s better to make your own then use a shop bought one on its own so there are only 4 ingredients in total lol
anyway there are quite a few good tips and recipes in this book i just thought it would be good as a standby for when kids are hungry and can make something quickly thats still healthy lol

Re: 4 ingredients

I was only kidding :D

With some of the recipes you'd have to make more than one thing anyway to get a meal. I do like the idea though. Not so keen that some of the ingredients are packets of mix.
