3 month count down
Well thats it, I'm off.
We were intending to emigrate to Adelaide, Australia at the end of the year, on a permanent resident visa (136 modl)
I told the company I work for, and made it official.
The folks in our Perth office know about me and have decided they want me a lot sooner.
So, I am transfering to Perth on a business visa 457 and we'll leave the end of August, (it would have been the beginning of August but I'm needed on my current platform for a 2 week shutdown in August)
Funny enough, I will be doing exactly the same job, for the same company, for a manager I used to work for, for the same money, on a platform not much unlike the one I'm on just now. But on the other side of the world. same old same old really!
The wife is starting panic already..........me? I'm looking at dive sites, and just about to order a new 5mm wettie..I wonder how much a compresser is in Perth?

We will be on the 457 until the 136 is granted, although we will have to suffer the pain of leaving OZ for a week to get the 136 validated. I dont know of I could handle a week in Bali......
