100,000 Velocity Points for $349

Biggest credit card bonus I've seen in Australia!
https://www.americanexpress.com/au/c...city-platinum/
100,000 Velocity Points for the outlay of $349 annual fee...but for that you also get a complimentary return domestic flight on Virgin Australia (between selected cities based on where you live).
Last Xmas I got a oneway in business class MEL-LHR on Etihad for 125,000 so this is just a bit short of that.
Unfortunately already have an AMEX issued card so no deal for me!

How long would it take to credit the points? I need to book another flight to Europe very soon and the addition of 100000 points would get me there nicely.

Please allow 8 to 10 weeks after the $1,000 spend benchmark has been met for the 100,000 Velocity Points to be awarded

Thanks for posting - signed up. Have been looking for a good opportunity to spread my travel/spend to Virgin and associates!

Anybody actually been able to find a flight back to the UK that allows you to use these points?

Was able to use my millions of Qantas points for the first time this year on a Syd Lon trip. Bizarrely I couldn't find flights 6 months out in low season, but I could 1 month out in peak, so summer it is. Who needs London in Jan anyway.
