Ha Haa Ha Ha Ha Ha Ha .........Oh sorry...... just a bit of hysteria then in between packing for our flight.
Actually, I dropped 40,000 off the house, the endownments were crap due to pulling out early and we have just given up our jobs. But I don't care because it's taken 3 years and we have to go now so I am not worrying about something I have absolutely no control over. I am going to look forward to my new job and meeting lots of new people.
How was that for positive thinking

Can anyone currently in Oz tell me whether I would get a better exchange rate if I took Stirling over to Oz and changed it for AUD there, rather than doing it here (best rate I have seen in UK on the high street is 1.80).

Never thought it would reach 50p let alone 55p. I feel like i'm earning more now because i still compare dollars to pounds, even after living here 7 years.

Annoyingly I sent a load of money over to the UK when it was at the lows of 1.98 to pay a chunk off the mortgage. Oh well lets hope it stays low for a few more weeks I've a bonus comming that needs to be sent over.

If it's just cash for spending...I will try to look at what the currency exchange in the mall is offering when I go later today/tomorrow.

Sorry my mistake it's $1.75 Cash Generators, they've had the best rates I've been able to find. Although on x-rates.com it's at $1.82, but it's not that when we've looking to change our cash
