Default Question about finding spaces in Schools

Hi,

I'm moving to Barbados in August and looking for a school for my 14 year old daughter. St Winifreds is full for that age group. Does anyone know of any schools with spaces? Thanks

14 is generally 3rd Form in Secondary school. I'd try contacting the Ursuline Convent School, St. Ursula's. it's an all girls secondary (co-ed primary from age 3-11 in the St. Angela's department).

http://www.conventschoolsbarbados.com/
e-mail - [email protected]

co-ed Private Secondary would be The Providence School
http://providenceschoolbarbados.com/ The website is being updated.. they have only just opened their secondary school, so I'm not sure if they have a 3rd form as yet. but send them an e-mail to ask..

both of the above schools following the Barbados Ministry of Education Curriculum.

You can also contact the ministry about obtaining a place for your child at one of the government secondary schools. she would likely have to sit a placement test and of course provide transcripts from her previous school.

good luck..

Good afternoon,

I'm aware this may be too late, but The Codrington School, The International School of Barbados is in St. John. They offer the international baccalaureate and are the only IBO World School in the caribbean. It may be another option for your daughter to think about.

James

Hi Hamptons747

just reading your thread from back in the summer and wondered how you got on finding a school place for your daughter and how she is settling in?

if you got her into St. Ursuline do you know what the fees are for non-national students?

check the website information in my post above.. the site doesn't have the current non-resident tuition costs, but you can e-mail the school to request the information.
