Hi there
I have a friend (Brazilian) arriving on Saturday for a couple of weeks.
He's asked about learning English for a week while he is here.
Does anyone know of an English teacher?
His English is not very good and I am concerned that the strong accent is going to throw him a bit.

If it is just someone to speak English with your friend rather than an actual teacher per se, could you not just ask a friend with less of an accent to spend time and only converse in English?

Looks like that's my job for the next two weeks
I'm sure he will learn a lot while he is here.

I have a Barbadian friend who lived in Brazil for 7 years and speaks fluent Portuguese. She works for herself in the tourism industry here. not sure she could teach the English but she might be willing to have some conversations with him, to assist him in his learning. I'll ask and see what she says..

there is a school called "The Codrington Language Center", google it if you get a chance. Their school is in Rockley Christ Church. Not sure how good they are but heard they are very expensive. Maybe they can help you or point you in a direction, give them a call? Sandgirl
