Default Employment Law/Human Resources in Barbados

Is there any employment law in Barbados? Does anyone know where I could find out more information? I've visited Barbados 4 times over the last 18 months and would love to be able to find some work there to experience life as a resident rather than a holidaymaker. However, my main occupation is Human Resources/Personnel in which I am fully qualified in the UK in a recruitment and employee relations capacity. I'm sure I would probably only find such work in the larger companies in Barbados, but can anyone suggest where I might start in my search and what salary I could expect to earn? Or would I be better looking at alternative work?

Thanks in advance for any advice you can offer

Have a look through both of these websites.. there are rules governing who can be employed especially if you are not a citizen or resident. You would have to get a work permit, which is not always the easiest thing to get but it can be done. The hard part might be finding a company that will do that.

Good luck.
