Default Driving instructor

Hi everyone. My husband and I are hoping to move permanently to Barbados. He is a citizen so he can work immediately. In the uk he is a qualified driving instructor and also holds a full clean LGV/HGV licence. Anyone know if his qualifications are transferable to Barbados? Would he have to pass any other tests? Is there a call for this type of work or something similar? Which is the government department that deals with this?
All suggestions gratefully received!

May I suggest having a look at the Ministry of Transport and Works Website

however.. I'd call them rather than e-mail.. and ask the questions to them.. also, if you ask a question, make sure you get the name of the person you ask.

Thanks so much for your advice. We will get in touch with them. Out of interest, do there seem to be many instructors on the roads on a day to day basis or do people learn from friends and family?
