Not everything is cheap, yesterday I paid 85 pence for a currant bun. When I was in primary school they were only one penny . . . and that was when there were 240 pennies in the pound! |

I'm not sure the feeling ever goes away it just drifts in and out of significance. At least that's my personal perspective. A friend (Brit) who has been here over 50 years told me just the other day they recalled watching a car dealership being built in the late 60's and thinking 'I don't care because I'll be gone back to the UK before they finish it.' Fast forward 50 years or so and they were lamenting at the irony that they were still driving past the same dealership....Needless to say I do not want to be that same person in 50 years or so time! |
