Wink your suburb

To all you who have already made it , how about helping us that are still undeceided about where to live?
tell us the best (or worst ) bits about your suburb.
good transport links, close to beach, good shopping, schools, neighbors, nightlife, parks, things for the kids to do.
Go on, feel free to try and outdo each other for the best all round aussie suburb.

There's probably a million trillion suburbs in OZ. Might help us a bit if you narrowed it down a bit by giving us some idea of which town or city you would like to live in?

If you are looking at OZ as a whole then just tell me to shut up!

Gotcha skipper, well ....

I love where I live because:
1) I have an uninterrupted 360 degree view of the sky (nice at night, particularly)
2) I can commute comfortably to the city
3) I doesn't 'feel' suburby
4) We have chickens and tank water and don't feel out of place
5) Our local paper is full of wholesome 'country' things
6) There is no way I could live like this in the UK
7) My wife and daughter love it too (maybe should be higher ...)
8) The locals couldn't give a monkey's where I came from originally
9) The local country show was top this year, and not a rip-off like the Ekka
10) I can leave the car unlocked (or full of stuff) overnight and have no worries

Ah, shedloads of stuff ...

I love where I live because......It has beaches on the doorstep, lovely walks, cycle tracks, some great restaurants and cafes. There is hardly any Hoon activity (unlike the rest of Australia). It is quiet (yes, a retirement home some might say), peaceful (relatively). There are all the shops we need and more just a short drive away....I could go on!

I live in Recliffe.

If you want to come all this way out for a pushchair that will collapse on first use and pristine CD-recordable copy of Nursery Rhymes then feel free

Plus a nappy bag that's well past it's prime ...

you must have a very small car, if one CD, one nappy bag and one buggy, constitutes 'full of stuff'.....don't think I'll bother now, was hoping for a lot more!

Hmmmm, sounds like Toowoomba??? Missed the festival as the other half ended having to work the weekend. Anyway, we'll be heading there soon, and will check the car boots on the way home
