Yes it's been 6months
We can't belive where the time has gone!
We Landed at Brizzy airport on 2nd Sept. '06. The get Lag wasn't to bad as we had stopped off at a number of place's before getting here. Flew with Emirates and not had any problems. Can honestly say that we never have had problems with them as we have flown with them a number of times. The flight from Birmingham to Dubia was nearly empty (I would say 25% full) and as it was a few days after the Bomb scares in the UK, we thought is there something we don't know!
When we got here we stayed on Main Beach as we knew we would be traveling north to look for house's and schools.
We bought a car and the boys were into School within the first week and the 2nd week we had found a rental.
The boys have settled in really well at their school, St. Stephens Collage and have made a lot of friends.
We have made quiet a few friends as well, mostly other poms, and are busy most weekends entertaining or being entertained.
We are still at home as I have to be 'self employed' or have to start a business. I have just finished doing the REIQ course so will see how that goes!
All in all we like our 'new life down under' but can't help but feel we are missing something.
We did come over with open minds but are still supprised at some of the things here, not saying that they are backwards here, just different
We bought a house a couple of months ago and feel more settled now.
Wander what the next 6 months has instore for us?
OH! nearly forgot, we had our stuff shipped with Doree Bonner, will let you know what has happen as soon as they can be bothered to reply to my emails!
