Our daughter goes in Year 11 next year and has already chosen her subjects as the subjects chosen for Year 11 are the same for Year 12. If you already know which school you are going to, contact them quick smart to allow your child to make their subject choices or they may not get their first preferences.

And if you do know the school, try to arrange email-pals with some of the kids to help with the transition - always helps to know someone before the first day at a new school. We did this when we moved from Melbourne to the Gold Coast. Back then it was via the post!

The email pals sounds great. My 14 year old is a bit apprehensive of going to a new school when we get over, I just mentioned it to him and he smiled. Which is reassuring from a kevin the teenager.haha.

Thanks for such a detailed update. It has helped us out too.

Cheers
